Cornerstone VNA announces new promotions
ROCHESTER – Cornerstone VNA, a trusted local nonprofit home health and hospice care provider, announced that Karen Krause, PT, COS-C, AIB-VRC, has been recently promoted from Rehab Manager to a new position as Rehab Director. Cornerstone VNA has also promoted Katie Michaud, MS, OTR/L, Occupational Therapist and Mental Health Coordinator to the new Community Care Director position.
Krause’s journey with Cornerstone VNA began in 2010 when she joined as a dedicated Physical Therapist. Over the past 15 years, she has demonstrated a strong commitment to exceptional care and remarkable leadership skills. In 2013, Krause was promoted to Rehab Manager, where she has successfully led and supported their growing rehab team with passion and expertise.
As Rehab Director, Krause will continue to guide the Cornerstone VNA rehab team, which is comprised of physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists. According to Karen, “I am proud to lead such a skilled rehab team. Their dedication to excellence and commitment to the latest best practices ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients. They embody everything a clinician should be.”
Michaud joined Cornerstone VNA in 2013 as an Occupational Therapist, and she has made an incredible impact in various roles, including Team Manager in 2016, Rehab Coordinator in 2021, and Mental Health Coordinator in 2022. In her new role as Community Care Director, she will continue to have a positive impact on the community by heading the organization’s Educational Series, Matter of Balance programs, and Mental Health advocacy. According to Michaud, “A sense of community is a key characteristic to a successful organization, and I look forward to growing in my role as Community Care Director. I am passionate about networking, collaborating, educating, and contributing to the well-being of our local communities by fostering improved mental and physical health.”
Lamprey Health Care, Inc. welcomes three new board members
NEWMARKET – Lamprey Health Care announced the appointment of three new members to its Board of Directors. Sarah Cronin, Susan D. Hilchey, and Colin T. McHugh have joined the board, bringing with them a wealth of industry experience, new perspectives and a shared commitment to advancing the mission of Lamprey Health Care.
Cronin is looking forward to maintaining an active role in the community. She brings experience from nonprofit, private, and community mental health sectors. Cronin looks forward to combining these diverse perspectives to support Lamprey Health care in continuing to provide an ever-growing broad range of medical and behavioral health services for the community.
McHugh, President & CEO, Southern New Hampshire Health is a trusted healthcare executive with more than 30 years of industry experience. Prior to this role, McHugh held various executive leadership roles, including senior vice president and chief value officer for SolutionHealth and Senior Vice President of Network Development & Contracting for MaineHealth. McHugh brings to the board a deep understanding of integrated healthcare delivery, population health, and value-based payment models. McHugh holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire and a Master of Arts from The University of Connecticut.
Hilchey brings the crucial heart and compassion she practiced in her roles as home care provider, vocational counselor for veterans, and case manager for injured workers. Hilchey is hoping to share these experiences in social services and connectedness to the local community to go the extra mile in helping Lamprey continue to fulfill its mission. Hilchey is a huge fan of Lamprey Health Care and its wide range of services and programs, and she is pleased to give back to her community through this role.
With these new additions, Lamprey Health Care’s Board of Directors is now comprised of 17 members, all dedicated to upholding the organization’s mission of providing accessible, affordable, high-quality healthcare to everyone, regardless of ability to pay.
